Feelings of Unworthiness
“I am glad I attended Transformed. It reminded me of who I am in Christ and how to stand firm against the enemy.”

I often struggle with feelings of unworthiness and the sense that I’m not good enough. I frequently criticize myself for not praying enough or for not getting into my quiet room before 9 o’clock. I believe these patterns are rooted in how I grew up and in the negative messages spoken over me throughout my life. The Transformed workshop reminded me of my true identity in Christ: I am God’s child. While I intellectually understand that God loves me and that Jesus saved me as I am, there is a big difference between knowing this in my head and truly believing and receiving it with joy. I attended Transformed seeking encouragement and a restored sense of my Christian identity.
One aspect of the workshop that I really appreciated was learning about spiritual warfare. We discussed five ways to resist evil when accusations and negative thoughts plague our thinking: discernment, prayer, praise, scripture, and using our authority in Jesus' name. After lunch, we talked about how hurtful words from others (and ourselves) can act as curses, wounding us and potentially opening doors that Satan can use to hinder our spiritual growth and freedom in Christ.
Between talks, we spent time in small group discussions. After the talk on Generational Sin and Word Curses, a person at my table prayed with me to break the words spoken over me when I was young. It worked! Christ set me free from the power those words had held over me for years. It was a meaningful moment, and I was brought to tears. I am deeply grateful for the compassion my table partner showed.
I am glad I attended Transformed. It reminded me of who I am in Christ and how to stand firm against the enemy. I left feeling very blessed, I and a look forward to the next workshop and living into my true identity in Christ.
